The Importance of Headwear Elastication

Check the elastication in your hair containment products hold both long and short hair.  Insufficient elastication power will not hold the hair in place.

Consider different levels of physical movement involved in the work activity. Do workers get hot then cool? If so, they may sweat and without wick-away properties in the product, such as ABurnet's StayCool, their sweat will remain in the head covering and become cold and uncomfortable, causing irritation.

Consider comfort levels for the wearer.

Higher levels of physical movement and product discomfort are likely to produce increased figeting with the headwear. The mechanical force applied when fidgeting will push hairs through head coverings increasing the likelihood of shed hairs contaminating food.
