Whether it's stubble or hipster a beard net is needed. Here’s why…

Ask yourself how would you feel if you found somebody else’s hair in your food? No matter what length of hair the risk of hair falling into food is still there.
In todays digital world a customer finding a hair in their food can have a damaging effect on a brand, especially with the speed an issue can spread over social media. But a customer being offended isn’t the only reason we wear beard nets as there's a health risk.
President of the Trichological Society 2014 - 2016 Professor Barry Stevens FTTS states that “facial hair is often a involuntary target of touch especially by infrequently washed hands” this increases the risk of bacteria spreading especially Staphylococcus Aureus which is commonly found on the scalp of people with good personal hygiene. As well as increasing the health risk this common habit of fidgeting substantially increases the amount of hair that become loose.
No matter what length of facial hair there is a risk of hair shedding and falling into the food product. In fact research by the University of Bolton found short hair is twice as likely to protrude through head coverings than longer hair. This is because short hair is much more likely to stand upright and go through holes in a traditonal honeycomb net and pierce a commonly used mob cap which become increasing weak as the user gets hot. This also increases the wearers tendancy to fidget and one reasons why mob caps shouldn't be used.
This is why an effective beard net is needed for any amount of facial hair. Our patented and HACCP International certified HairTite and HairBarrier products have been proven to be effective by industry at containing beard hair. The specially designed fabric structure folds and holds hair and prevents already loose and damaged hairs from falling into the food. We have different sizes and product types to suit the type of beard and our breathable products keep staff cool and comfortable reducing that temptation to fidget.
