Proud To Manufacture In The UK

Did you know we have been manufacturing for over 125 years here in the UK.
Throughout our history we’ve had to move with the times and be on the fringe of innovation. Our ability to do this has meant our current hair containment products have enabled us to be Europe’s and one of the world’s biggest manufacturers. As well as having the stamp of approval by being HACCP International certified.
Our patented HairTite and KleenCap brands have been proven by industry to reduce contamination by over 80%. Research from the University of Bolton enabled us to develop Aburnet’s unique fold and hold technology that holds hair against the scalp, which is key to containing hair correctly. Our products all feature a light recoiling structure which means they can correctly fit different hair types and volumes.
Still today many food producers use standard mob caps and as Professor Anand MBE, Professor in Technical Textiles at the University of Bolton explains; “Non-woven material such as those used in mob / bouffant caps and beard covers shouldn’t be used as a hair barrier fabric. It will neither hold the head of hair, nor grip hair that protrudes; it is a totally unsuitable material.”
Our metal detectable and metal free hair nets and numerous accessories keep staff cool and comfortable to reduce fidgeting which is known to push more hair through the gaps in standard woven, knitted and nonwoven coverings. Aburnet continue to develop as a company, we have more products in the pipeline that really break the boundaries of hair containment.
